Bulls and Cows - Game rules

• Bulls and Cows is a 2 player game.

• Each player thinks of a word with 5 different letters.

  The word must be from realworld and nominal.

  For example, tiger. Forbidden: qwert, Paris, queen.

• At each turn the players try to guess their opponent's word who gives the number of matches.

  The guessed word must satisfy same rules as secret word.

  If the matching letters are in their right positions, they are "bulls", if in different positions, they are "cows".

  Example:

  • Secret word:  board
  • Guess:  world
  • Answer:  2 bulls and 1 cow
  • The bulls are "o" and "d", the cow is "r"

• The players don't have to guess in turns, but can't be two step ahead each other.

  The first player to reveal the other's secret number wins the game.

Game example:

Alex word: drake	John word: width
John turn:  faith – 1 cow	Alex turn:  chest – 1 cow
John turn:  break – 1 bull, 3 cows	Alex turn:  pride – 2 cows
John turn:  drake – 5 bulls	Alex turn:  drink – 2 cows

John wins.
